 Bridge Day 2009 jump passes and first jump course slots are still available for jumpers with 100 prior parachute jumps. Our 4-day BASE first jump course is nearly sold out, but we've got approximately 50 jump passes left. Based on historical data, we'll likely sell out of jump passes on the day before Bridge Day, which means jumpers are welcome to simply show up at Bridge Day and purchase a jump pass at River Expeditions, our new jumper headquarters.

For the first time ever, skydiving is coming to West Virginia's Bridge Day. Experienced and inexperienced jumpers are invited to skydive during Bridge Day week (October 13-16, 18) at the Fayette Airport located about 2.5 miles South of the New River Gorge Bridge. We'll have a Cessna 182 and tandem skydives will be available for those wanting to make their first skydive (no experience required). Paintball at River Expeditions
Shoot your fellow BASE jumpers during a 2-hour paintball session at River Expeditions (jumper headquarters). The cost is $45.99 per person and 4-12 players are needed. Please contact River Expeditions for further details and reservations.
Bridge Day Photo Concession Now Run By BASE Jumpers
A small group of talented BASE jumping photographers will be assisting Vertical Visions this year with the Bridge Day 2009 photo concession. Bridge Day coordinator Jason Bell has been preparing for this change over the last three years. Five kiosk viewing stations will allow jumpers to view photos, which will be printed or burned to CD on demand. Several new camera positions are planned, including an automated motion-sensing camera located 12' above the jumping platform.
$50 Jumper Whitewater Rafting Special
If you've never rafted the New River, now is the time. River Expeditions (jumper headquarters) is offering a "New River Express" trip (2-3 hours long) available on Friday (October 16) or Sunday (October 18) for $50 per person.
