Transportation for Jumpers and Family Members To/From Landing Zone
Transportation Types
- Buses are provided by the local Chamber of Commerce.
- Vans are provided by Vertical Visions to supplement the Chamber of Commerce buses and reduce the long lines of jumpers waiting to ride out of the gorge.
Who Can Ride?
- BASE Jumpers and Staff with a Vertical Visions ID badge and wristband can ride any Chamber of Commerce bus or any van containing the Vertical Visions logo for free (it's included with your jump pass).
- Van Pass Holders can only ride vans bearing the Vertical Visions logo. Cost is $15 per person to help us defray the cost of renting and operating the vans. Van passes are sold to jumper family members and friends only. Van pass holders cannot ride the Chamber of Commerce buses looping from the bridge to the landing zone.
Van Pass Details
Van rides provide rides from the top of the bridge to the landing area. This is perfect for those who want to watch the action from the bottom, but aren't interested in attempting the 4.5 mile, 45 minute hike. You can purchase a van pass for $15/person at onsite jumper registration located in the Holiday Lodge Oak Hill ballroom on Thursday and Friday. Vans are identified by the "Vertical Visions" logo on the side and van passes permit unlimited rides all day. Children 12 and under can ride in our vans for free, although we do not provide car seats. Transportation for van pass holders to/from the Holiday Lodge Oak Hill is only available upon request. Our Van Map shows all stopping points.
